| 8/5/2008 - National All Night Out - Neighborhood Watch | | This year the Fort Stockton Crime Stoppers will host its National Night Out event on August 5, 2008. The event is to inform and provide the community with the tools necessary to help fight crime. The National Night Out is a symbolic, Nation Wide Crime Prevention Event that reflects the day in and day out cooperation of our Citizens and Police. Please join us on this important night to demonstrate how we as a community want to protect what is ours and ensure that we all have a safe place to live and work. We appreciate all the participants and community support we received at our National Night Out Event on August 5th. The event was very successful and provided attendees with information pamphlets on ways to prevent crime in their neighborhood and within our community. The 1st Annual Crime Stoppers Posse Roundup Jail-A-Thon fundraiser was extremely successful in raising slightly over $3,400.00 in bail money. The event awarded several door prizes graciously donated by the following businesses; Freddie’s Cleaners, Bealls, Terrazas Furniture, Flower Fantasy, D.A.R.E., Ambiance Salon, Movie Gallery, Mesquite Tree, 1st Community Federal Credit Union, Apache Liquor, Sonora Ozona Oil Co., Commanche Tortilla & Tamale Factory, Pecos County Feed Store, Wiest Tire Inc., St. Josephs Catholic Church, Long Fellow Ranch Stockton Entertainment.
